¡Bienvenidos!

I am a bilingual freelance reporter and audio journalist who covers immigration and how it affects the lives of every day people. My work has been featured on radio programs like the BBC Newshour, PRX's The World,  and NPR's Here & Now, All Things Considered, and Morning Edition.

Most recently, I was the immigrant communities reporter at WAMU 88.5 and DCist.com, where I reported stories throughout Washington, D.C.,  Maryland, and Virginia.

In 2023, I co-hosted AeroEspacial — a podcast miniseries about the history of Latinos in aviation and space exploration. I was also part of the New Voices cohort for the Association of Independents in Radio, as well as an EML Fellow for the International Center for Journalists, and an Ottaway Fellow for the Investigative Reporters and Editors.

I was raised in Richmond, California. When I'm not writing — or racking up miles on my car's odometer for a reporting trip — I enjoy cooking, fly-fishing, and reading books about magical realism.
